FansUnite (FANS.C) enters into brand partnership with Cash Live

FansUnite Entertainment (FANS.C) announced they have entered into a brand partnership with Cash Live to launch FansUnite branded live games on Cash Live’s mobile app.

Cash Live a free-to-play mobile gaming app that features daily live-streamed poker games shows which pay out real cash to its winners. Cash Live was founded by a top-ranked Canadian poker player and is backed by Yellow, Snap Inc’s accelerator program.

Investors include other top-ranked poker players, the founders of Paradise Poker, the former CEO of OkCupid and Tinder, and Snap Inc. FansUnite also has a minority stake in the company.

“Cash Live is a promising tech start-up that has built an impressive brand and technology platform,” said Scott Burton, CEO of FansUnite. “In furthering our strategy to be more actively involved in the rapid growth of the social betting industry, we are pleased to announce the partnership with Cash Live. Moving forward, we hope to see this mobile app emerge as a dominant player in the online poker game industry.”

The app features live games 7 days a week, twice a day at 3 pm and 6 pm PST. Cash Live is obviously hoping to tap into the growing popularity of live streams. In April, viewers watched more than 2 billion hours of Twitch streams. In a similar vein, YouTube Gaming Live has seen consistent growth year over year. It seems apparent that live streaming is growing, and joining up with Cash Live could help FansUnite get into a growing market.

FansUnite’s first branded game on the Cash Live app will go tonight at 6 pm PT and will play down to a winner within 20 minutes. The Cash Live app is currently available on iOS with an Android version expected to be completed within 30 days. FansUnite’s branded games appearing on Cash Live will give them increased exposure and could bring in new customers.

Mobile gambling is a growing share of the overall gambling market, and joining the growing trend could help FansUnite reach new and younger customers.

This announcement comes only two days after FansUnite integrated CoinsPaid into their B2B online gambling solutions, allowing them to accept cryptocurrency payments for their online games.

Between onboarding crypto and getting in on the live stream mobile gambling markets, FANS is setting themselves up to benefit from any changing dynamics in the gambling market.

Following the news, FansUnite’s stock price did not change significantly.

Full disclosure: FansUnite Entertainment is an Equity Guru marketing client.
