Microdosers rejoice as Plus Products (PLUS.C) release a new line of THC-infused mints

Plus Products (PLUS.C) announced the addition of a new line of mints to their low-dose cannabis line of THC-infused candies today.

Plus classic mints contain 2.5 milligrams of THC and less than 0.1 milligrams of CBD each.

At these quantities they are absolutely great for microdosing.

Normally microdosing is associated with other harder and illegal drugs like LSD or psilocybin, but we’re starting to see it more with cannabis as the drug becomes more socially acceptable.

Cannabis microdosing involves taking small amounts to get the benefits of THC while avoiding the negative psychoactive effects.

It’s basically the functional equivalent of having a drink or two at lunch, but without the extra calories.

Evidence suggests that microdosing can have some serious benefits, like stress reduction, pain management and enhanced creativity, but finding the appropriate dosage is key.

The wrong dosage can mean the difference between having a creative, stress-free day and spending the day horizontal on the couch waiting for the world to stop vibrating.

“Microdosing is something that is very personal. There is no magic bullet for all patients; it is different for each one. So keep experimenting until you find the dose that works for you,” said Michelle Ross, the founder of IMPACT network, a non-profit cannabis research firm specializing in medical cannabis.

Ross’ recommendation for first time microdosers is to begin with 2.5 milligrams for three days with an increase only if necessary. That makes Plus Products new line of mints perfect for the beginner microdoser. Try the mints minimal dosage and find the level that’s right for you.

“The goal is to use the dose that gives the most minimal noticeable effect. You are not trying to get stoned, you are just trying to get a little something. And then once you get to that dose where you feel a little something, stay there for a few days and then you can start gradually increasing if needed,” said Dustin Sulak, osteopathic physician based in Maine, who commonly treats his patients using cannabis.

Mango flavoured relief

Earlier this month, Plus Products launched their Mango CBD Relief gummy, which in contrast to the new classic mints, contains 4.5 milligrams of CBD and .5 milligrams of THC per gummy.

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in both hemp and sativa that’s been widely sought after for its purported healing properties.

They’re not the best for microdosing because you would have to take five or ten of these candies to get the effect of two mints or one of Plus Products other candies.

But if you were to take a mango gummy in the morning and a mint just after lunch you could get a little medicine everyday while you microdose your worries away.

Shares rose today by $0.10 to close at $5.55.

Currently Plus Products has 24,330,799 issued and outstanding shares with a market cap of $135 million.
