Manganese X Energy (MN.V) and Disruptive Battery latest acquisition takes aim at pandemic

Manganese X Energy (MN.V) subsidiary Disruptive Battery Corp (DBC) picked up a 50% equity stake in environmental air quality control company, PureBiotics, today, according to a press release.

The objective of the JV is to come up with solutions to the healthcare risks regarding air quality in homes and businesses, including lower the risk of infections, but also with allergens, contaminants and odours. The company intends to combine PureBiotics product lines and tech with DBC’s US patent and other resources owned by Manganese X.

The product the company will be manufacturing is a United States-based air quality control delivery system that will incorporate their US patented disinfection apparatus, which is designed to circulate air disinfection (ADA) agents through a building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) distribution system.

“Putting together this JV was a process. Investors have to understand that our HVAC and related air solution is a massive contemplation given the current cycle of human society. Pandemic management and defense is the order of the day and our goal is to get society mobilized again in such a way as to reduce both fear and risk of breathing air in a contained environment. We believe our air management solution is not only relevant but necessary. Further, from a business perspective, we see a scalable product with extreme distribution potential,” said Martin Kepman, CEO of Manganese X.

The first phase will begin when the company forms a Newco in Orlando, Florida. They’re presently in negotiations with a university based in the United States for a testing arrangement to validate both the HVAC air quality control system when combined with PureBiotics air mist for virus and bacteria mitigation.

Some infections can be spread by small droplets and particles, which can hang in the air for minutes to hours, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These viruses can infect people who are standing outside the six-feet social distancing space requirement.

Lino Morris, the CEO of PureBiotics, will be responsible for the guidance of testing and validation of the product. He has relationship with well-known US universities and laboratories acceptable by the EPA, USDA, FDA and other government regulators.
