Beacn Wizardry and Magic (BECN.V) unveils new streamer product at TwitchCon 2023

A year ago, when I first talked to the team behind Beacn Wizardry and Magic (BECN.V), nobody paid any attention.

Like, literally, nobody.

I loved the idea of a local hardware electronics company, run by guys who had fueled the rise of some much larger players with iconic and innovative design, who were looking to ‘tesla up’ the microphone experience and associated audio world.

They hated when I used that phrase, by the way. Like, they got really angry at me. What I was trying to show is they had rethought how microphones are made, completely, from the ground up, much like the original Tesla corporation had done with vehicles, but they were right that the Tesla name had become… problematic.

So let’s look at it another way – they’ve taken the three-pronged audio jack out of your streaming mic and replaced it with a USB. They’ve added LED visuals to the thing. They process your audio inside the mic, rather than in your computer, and they let you plug your headphones into the mic proper, rather than having cables snaking around six pieces of equipment and occasionally yanking your head off when you turn your chair.

But it’s the software that does me, and it DOES me. Easy to use, easy to learn, built for the beginner-est beginners but with tools a pro has always wanted.

They could have chased market sentiment but, instead, they made the decision to just make great products and figure out how to sell a lot of them.

And this past week has seen the company add to its SKUs with a new mic stand product.

The content streaming market is experiencing an unprecedented boom. As of 2022, the streaming platform Twitch alone boasted over 140 million monthly active viewers, with content creators and streamers recording a staggering year-on-year growth. This backdrop provides a fertile ground for innovative companies like Beacn Wizardry & Magic Inc. to offer solutions tailored to this burgeoning market.

At TwitchCon 2023, Beacn is not just attending, but is actively introducing its latest addition: the Beacn Mic Stand. Those interested can experience it first-hand at booth SW-23, located at the Las Vegas Convention Center — West Hall till Oct. 22.

There are three solid reasons why Beacn stands out and should be on every investor’s radar:

  1. Tailored Solution for Modern Content Creators: The Beacn Mic Stand addresses a pressing concern of the modern streaming and podcasting world: effective microphone positioning amidst a plethora of devices. Its low-profile design ensures practical comfort and aesthetics, especially for streamers who navigate challenges posed by multiple computer monitors.
  2. Attention to Detail and Aesthetics: With both light and dark versions available, Beacn emphasizes aesthetics. Their light-colored stand, devoid of a mix of dark and light parts, is a market-first, aligning perfectly with light/white desk setups. Furthermore, Beacn’s meticulous design approach extends to its functionality – from the custom ball mount to an efficient cable management channel, ensuring a clutter-free workspace. Hey, maybe looking good doesn’t matter to you, but to pro-streamers, it’s an increasingly big deal.
  3. Diverse and Award-Winning Ecosystem: Beacn is more than just a one-product wonder. Their suite includes the Beacn Mic, Mix, and Mix Create products, some of which we use at Equity.Guru. Their commitment to quality is underscored by their award-winning stature, positioning them as key players in the audio equipment domain for content creators.

On the horizon is the availability of the Beacn Mic Stand, set for sale by the end of October 2023, not just on Beacn’s official website, but also through major partners like Micro Center (US) and London Drugs (Canada). With a competitive but still margin friendly price tag of $119.99 (U.S.), Beacn is poised to capture a significant share of the content creator’s market, and we expect there’s more to come.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Beacn was an Equity.Guru marketing client, but they became that too early in their journey and didn’t have enough news to justify a program, so while we don’t currently have a contract with the company, we’re ensuring they get their money’s worth by continuing to cover them while their sails fill, and will for some time. No quid pro quo, just doing right by a company because it’s a small town, a small industry, and we all want to be around for a while.
