Beyond Lithium’s Breakthrough Exploration Discoveries at Georgia Lake District: 15 New Pegmatites Mapped, Three Beryl-Bearing Pegmatites Discovered, and Promising Lithium Levels

Beyond Lithium Inc. (CSE: BY) (OTCQB: BYDMF), a Canadian-based lithium junior operating in Ontario, has recently shared promising results from its exploration program conducted in the Georgia Lake district in Ontario. This program focused on three of the company’s properties: Gathering Lake South (3,864 ha), Gathering Lake East (986 ha), and Gathering Lake West (2,098 ha), which are all situated in the northeast of the district.

A Detailed Insight into the Exploration

The detailed sampling and mapping at Gathering Lake South project led to the discovery of three new beryl-bearing pegmatites with elevated Li muscovite samples, alongside fifteen new pegmatites. Two new trends were also established, aligning with the regional batholith-sediment contact orientation. The Gathering Lake area has previously been associated with the regional source of LCT pegmatite formation and fractionation, specifically the Glacier Lake batholith.

These discoveries extend the anomalous zone of rare-element like Cesium (Cs) greater than 15 ppm and Rubidium (Rb) greater than 300 ppm, indicating potential to explore for new rare-element or LCT pegmatites within the Gathering Lake South project.

Recent Samples and Discoveries

“A total of twenty-five samples were collected across our three Gathering Lake projects in June as part of our Phase 1 exploration program,” said Lawrence Tsang, VP Exploration for Beyond Lithium. He also highlighted four muscovite samples showing lithium assays up to 1,477 and 2,075 ppm (0.148% and 0.208%).

These numbers are substantial, as they potentially link to beryl-spodumene pegmatites. The criteria for such a correlation is lithium content greater than 1,000 ppm Li in muscovite from a spodumene pegmatite, and greater than 200 ppm Li from fertile granite, according to research conducted by Frederick W. Breaks in 2003.

Follow-Up Program and Future Plans

Beyond Lithium’s team carried out a five-day follow-up program to evaluate the results, leading to the mapping of 15 new pegmatites in the south-central area of the Gathering Lake South project. Three new beryl-bearing pegmatites were also discovered. Additional samples were collected, including 49 grab samples and 86 LIBS samples, for further analysis.

“It is important for our shareholders to keep in mind that while we are as anxious as they are to share all assay results as they come in, it is sometimes a better course of action to first consolidate our land position either through staking, optioning or both in certain districts,” noted Allan Frame, President and CEO, as he shared his satisfaction with the progress made so far in 2023. He also alluded to the upcoming exploration plans, including drilling in the fall.
