Predictmedix (PMED.C) deploys Safe Entry’s fit for duty screening at LongArm Engineering

Predictmedix (PMED.C), a Canadian-based provider of rapid health screening solutions, announced today that it had deployed Safe Entry to be installed at LongArm Engineering’s Odessa Texas facility.

LongArm’s facility provides engineering, electrical, automation and fabrication services in the heart of the Permian Basin, currently one of the largest and most active oil & gas basin hotspots.

Safe Entry will be used by LongArm to screen staff, contractors, clients, and guests to ensure a healthy and safe workplace.

The Safe Entry station is fully autonomous, contactless, non-invasive screening device that uses AI-driven visual recognition technology that identifies unique physiological patterns in an individual to assess and determine the probably of that person being infected or not infected.

The technology behind Safe Entry’s detection is currently 95% accurate on a negative prediction analysis for identification of symptoms. Because the AI system in Safe Entry is continually learning, as more data is collected, that percentage will increase.

Safe Entry Stations monitor and identify the potential presence of COVID-19 associated symptoms such as fever, cough, exhaustion, congestion, sweat gland activation, eye redness and headache, along with other key determinant factors.

Safe Entry Stations not only look at body temperature, but also at five specific facial points, which indicate a truly medically induced fever, versus someone who may be hot because of the weather, etc. The system also measures six other known COVID-19 symptoms before rendering a result.

The deal between Predictmedix and LongArm is revenue-generating through a set-up fee and a monthly service fee for use of the Safe Entry unit.

Dr. Rahul Kushwah, interim CEO of Predictmedix, commented on the transaction, “The global interest in supplying Safe Entry is also increasing. SBL is on-boarding partner companies to supply and support Safe Entry in all regions of the world.” Robillard added. “The evolution of Safe Entry technology has been eye opening, and now being able to screen for not only infectious diseases but simultaneously alcohol and cannabis use, is a huge feat. We are excited to see the positive impact it will have on LongArm Engineering’s workforce.”

Predictmedix’s strategic partners currently reside in the U.S., Canada and South Asia and include such well-known entities as Juiceworks, Tech Mahindra, MGM Healthcare, McGill University, EFHutton and MAX Healthcare.

In recent news, the company announced the closure of the final tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement offering consisting of 1.6 million units at $0.05 CAD per unit for gross proceeds of $80,000.

Each unit was comprised of one common share in the company and one-half of one common share purchase warrant. Each full warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share at an exercise price of $0.10 per share for a period of two years from closing.

Gross proceeds from the offering will be used for general operations including business development and technology upgrades.

Predictmedix currently trades for $0.04 per share for a market cap of $4.87 million.
