I made my name not by writing nice things about public companies, but by being a utter sod to CEOs and making them explain themselves. By holding them to a high standard. By fighting for the little guy, and asking questions IR guys would rather don’t get asked.

So I’m not going to say this debut episode of The Gauntlet is going to make Alex Klenman, CEO of Azincourt Energy (AAZ.V) shake in his shoes. But I will say the way he handled my questions was pretty admirable.

Among other things, I asked why we should care about Azincourt today when it’s been ‘close’ for so long. I asked why we should care about uranium when it’s been ‘the next big thing’ for about five years. And he stood.
