ePlay Digital (EPY.C) and Chris Clemence Announce Digital and Physical NFT Sneaker Collaboration

ePlay Digital (EPY.C) and Chris Clemence, a renowned American musician, artist, and in-demand tattoo artist, have partnered to create an exclusive line of digital and physical sneakers for mobile games, NFT marketplaces, and ePlay’s upcoming Klocked app.

“Chris Clemence is a talented artist that everybody should know…ePlay’s virtual worlds, games, and apps require sneakers and our programmable media approach offers in-game utility and advanced technical interoperability with new revenue streams in the intersection of art, sport, NFTs, and gaming,” says Trevor Doerksen, CEO of ePlay Digital.

Forgive me Mr. Doerksen, but I don’t actually know who Chris Clemence is, however, that’s not to say he isn’t as popular as you claim. In fact, Chris Clemence has toured internationally and shared the same stage with some of the worlds most popular musicians including Chad Smith, Mike Posner, and Demi Lovato. In addition to his musical talents, Mr. Clemence is also a tattoo artist, travelling between L.A., New York, and Las Vegas to satisfy a demand for his inking skills. He is also the founder of Tattshoos, the unique tattoo-style footwear brand launched in 2020.

In collaboration with Chris Clemence, ePlay will create digital innovations for its mobile games and virtual worlds including Howie Mandel’s Howie’s Games, Robert Horry’s Big Shot Basketball, and its upcoming running app, Klocked. ePlay’s partnership with Mr. Clemence is intended to unify the two multi-billion dollar industries of sports apparel and virtual goods. Through ePlay’s mobile sports, entertainment, and eSports NFT platform, the Company will enable sports apparel interoperability with programmable media and in-game utility.

“I feel so privileged to have had my music fill stadiums as an anthem for NHL, NBA, and NFL teams…ePlay’s apps and games give me a platform to push limits of art, design, utility, and NFTs in virtual worlds and gaming,” says artist Chris Clemence.

From digital cats to original source material like “Charlie Bit My Finger”, NFTs have been taking the world by storm. For example, RTFKT, a virtual footwear store, recently sold $3.1 million worth of NFT sneakers in just seven minutes. Moreover, another virtual footwear store, CryptoKicks, recently signed former NBA player Wilson Chandler to be the face of its brand. Although the concept of virtual attire seems outlandish, there is undoubtedly a market for this bizarre trend. With this in mind, by partnering with a popular figures like Chris Clemence and Edward Harber, ePlay could draw some serious attention.

ePlay Digital’s share price opened at $0.13 today and is currently trading at $0.13 as of 12:08PM ET. The Company’s shares are up 4% indicating that there has been some change following the news.
