Modern Meat (MEAT.C) to offer healthy options from smart vending machines

Modern Meat (MEAT.C) reported in a press release today that their products have been selected as healthy food options in smart vending solutions.

The vending machines are intended to be placed in high-traffic areas where health conscious consumers regularly congregate. The company will be stocking the machines with their premade meals and juices from their Modern Wellness Bar.

“We believe smart vending is the future in dispensed food goods; it not only targets consumers needs but does it in a branded attractive fashion. The placement in Telus Garden, a brand and lifestyle we are excited to partner with, will only further the development of our brand and company,” said Cassidy McCord, chief corporate officer of Modern Meat.

Modern Meat is a B.C.-based food company involved in the plant-based meat product market. They want to provide consumers with nutritious and sustainable meat alternatives without sacrificing taste and enjoyment. The company’s overall mission statement involves changing the way food is produced and consumed in a way that’s beneficial to not only people, but animals and the environment, and they intend to do that by using only natural 100% plant based ingredients.

The company believes that the smart vending solution will take their food delivery game to the next level by making gourmet healthy options available to consumers, while generating brand recognition and increasing sales for their products.

We have to wonder, though, how they’re planning to get over the stigma attached to vending machine food—because face it, the technology isn’t exactly well known (at least in the west) for producing healthy options.
