Tempus Resources (TMRR.V) developing mineral value in the Americas

Tempus Resources (TMRR.V) is an Australian-based mineral explorer focused on exploring and developing gold, silver, and copper mineral opportunities in the Americas. Currently the company is focused on its flagship gold properties in North-central British Columbia and its gold/copper properties in Equador.

Over the last 12 months, gold has vacillated between $2000 USD and $1600 on poor economic numbers and post-pandemic blues. There is still a bearish attitude toward the shiny mineral over the short term if macroeconomic data continues to be positive. But if the US dollar weakens and Treasury yields climb in 2023, we could see gold prices appreciate to the $1900 range.

Junior gold explorers market values are closely correlated to how the mineral performs, but underneath that associated are the fundamentals investors need to pay close attention to. Tempus has positioned itself to take advantage of this undercurrent of sustainable value with its holdings in North-central BC known as the Blackdome-Elizabeth gold project (BE).

BE is comprised of two separate mineralization styles in the Elizabeth Zone and the Blackdome Zone. Elizabeth is located approximately 200km north of Vancouver and possesses some closeology in that it is 35 kilometres north of the past producing Bralorne Gold Mine which dug up 4.2 million ounces of gold at a grade of 17.7 g/t mostly between 1928 and 1971.

Elizabeth is characterized by its auriferous quartz vein mineralization which is similar to the geology found at the Bralorne Gold Mine. A historic inferred mineral resource estimate carried out at Elizabeth by SRK in 2009, noted 206,000 ounces of gold at 12.26 g/t.

Tempus has carried out drilling at Elizabeth to map out shallow mineralization from two quartz veins located approximately 200 metres below surface.

The 21/22 drill program uncovered multiple bonanza grade results over 300 metres strike with eight intersections greater than 1 ounce pre tonne.

Tempus is eager to continue drilling at Elizabeth as there are more than nine known vein sets on the property with high potential for additional discoveries.

The Blackdome zone is located approximately 35 kilometres north of Elizabeth and previously produced 225,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 20 g/t. SRK published a NI 43-101 at Blackdome in 2010 which outlined 52,600 ounces of gold at 11.29 g/t Indicated and 25,900 ounces of gold at 8.79 g/t Inferred.

Mineralization at Blackdome is consistent with low-sulphidation, structurally controlled, epithermal gold mineralization. Assets in the zone remain permitted and the Blackdome tailings facility which are currently under care and maintenance, remain in good working order for future production.

The mill at Blackdome is permitted and capable of processing 300 tonnes per day. There is also a 35-man exploration camp located at the Elizabeth Deposit. There are existing plans for construction of four kilometres of new haul road at the project as well as an upgrade to 35 kilometres of existing road to link both Blackdome and Elizabeth.

Tempus’ 2022 exploration program completed 36 diamond drill holes for a total depth of 9,300 metres by the end of September 2022. This program revealed visible gold in several holes in two locations: the Blue Vein and #9 Vein.

Tempus completed engineering studies at Blackdome Mill during Q3 2022. The studies on the potential restart of Blackdome Mill came back with positive results.

Tempus’ Equador properties consist of three mineral exploration concessions known as the Zamora Projects. Zamora is broken up into the Rio Zarza Project and the Valle del Tigre.

Rio Zarza is made up of two concessions covering 1,000 hectares and is adjacent to the producing Fruta del Norte gold mine.

Valle del Tigre is an early-stage project located in the highly prospective Cordillera del Condor mineral belt of southeast Equador.

So where is this Tempus train headed?

Our own Jody Vance took time to chat with Tempus president and CEO, Jason Bahnsen, a 30-plus year veteran in natural resources finance and operations, to get a closer look at the company, its assets and what investors can expect from the gold/copper junior over the next 12 months. Check it out!

Tempus currently trades at $0.051 CAD per share for a market cap of $13.48 million.
