Pure Extracts Technologies (PULL.C) gets back to basics with extraction agreement

Pure Extracts Technologies (PULL.C) subsidiary, Pure Extracts Manufacturing, inked an extraction agreement for 80-85% pure CBD distillate from 500 kilograms of hemp biomass today, according to a press release.

The biomass comes from one of Pure Extracts’ preferred suppliers and comes with a CBD potency of slightly over 10%. This biomass has a specific particulate mill size and runs smoothly and efficiently on the company’s Vitalis R200 sub/super-critical CO2 extraction system.

“We are pleased to have entered into this tolling agreement and to have taken delivery of the first 500 kg of milled hemp biomass. We are very familiar with this particular biomass having used it before in the manufacturing of our in-house, branded products, so we know it extracts very well,” said Ben Nikolaevsky, president of Pure Extracts.

This kind of contract is what Pure Extracts built their name and company around: extracting cannabinoids from hemp biomass to make cannabis 2.0 products and they’ve been doing it for decades. They call themselves a legacy company, which is a tidy little euphemism meaning a company that’s been around longer than cannabis has been legal, and that’s why they’re good at what they do. Their processing facility located 20 minutes north of Whistler, nestled between the soaring white peaks of Pemberton, B.C, may be brand new (or well, actually a year old now) but the skills to use them definitely aren’t.

Not one to sit on the sidelines while there’s money to be made, they’ve expanded and raised their standards to meet with European Union Good Manufacturing Practices (EUGMP) certification requirements, and retrofitted their equipment to sell both functional mushrooms, and psilocybin mushrooms to appropriate markets in Europe. But extractions has always been their bread and butter, and the high level of purity in their extracted CBD distillate makes it ideal for vapes, topicals, beverages and edible gummies and chocolates.
