PlantX Life (VEGA.C) announced that they completed the acquisition of privately-held Score Enterprises today, according to a press release.

Score opens and operates the Squamish-based Locavore Bar & Grill and other businesses, including the Cloudburst Cafe and Locavore Food Truck. The company intends to redesign and rebrand the restaurant as the PlantX Canadian Flagship store.

“It’s very exciting for us to be able to move forward with our Canadian Flagship store plans. We believe strongly in a brick-and-mortar presence to help educate those who want to learn about plant-based living, and look forward to seeing additional PlantX locations across North America and eventually around the globe,” said Julia Frank, PlantX CEO.

VEGA is up 29.8% today on the news, and is now trading at $1.70.

PlantX also continues to grow its e-commerce vertical by linking this new Squamish location with its flagship locations in San Diego, CA and Tel Aviv, Israel. The B.C. flagship location will offer all the products on the site, and be used as a training centre for PlantX staff. The design, layout and offerings of which will be another way to make a plant-based lifestyle accessible to the people of B.C. and ultimately, the company hopes, to the rest of Canada.
