Curaleaf Holdings (CURA.C) summer expansion plans include four new markets

Curaleaf Holdings (CURA.C) will continue expanding its Select brand into new markets, intending to enter the Ohio, Florida, Massachusetts and Maine markets before August 2020.

The company acquired Select in February, 2020. Select is a cannabis oil brand, and a west cost lifestyle brand for both the medical and adult-use markets across nine states, including Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Maryland, Oklahoma and Connecticut. This summer’s expansion into four more states increases the number to 13 markets, and puts them on track to accomplishing their goal of making Select the first consumer cannabis brand to have achieved national recognition.

“As a mission-driven company, Curaleaf is committed to improving the lives of our patients and customers across the US, providing them with high-quality cannabis products they can trust. Select has performed tremendously well in our current markets, and we are eager to share the Select experience with thousands of new medical and adult-use customers this summer as we continue to grow,” said Joe Bayern, president of Curaleaf.

Curaleaf started the season in the middle of June by moving the Select brand into Connecticut, after which the company intends to introduce the brand into Maine’s medical market by the first of July. This will make its Select Elite oil cartridges and brand of Select Nano Gummies available for retail across the state.

The expansion continues the following week as Curaleaf will push Select Elite and Select Nano Gummies into dispensaries across their home state of Massachusetts. Residents and patients within the state will be able to get Curaleaf’s Nano Gummies from Curaleaf dispensaries under the Curaleaf brand name as of June 26. Finally, by mid-August, Select Nano Gummies are expected to move into Ohio and Florida’s medical markets.
