Cresco Labs (CL.C) and Wiz Khalifa bring Khalifa Kush back to California

Cresco Labs (CL.C) has made flower and prerolls from the Wiz Khalifa inspired brand, Khalifa Kush, available for purchase at Cookies stores in California.

The brand is part of an exclusive cultivation and product collaboration with multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY and Golden Globe Award nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa’s cannabis brand. The company’s FloraCal Farms and Continuum distribution will be the sold producer and distributor of premium branded products with Khalifa’s signature KK strain.

“Wiz Khalifa has been a longtime advocate for cannabis legalization, with a namesake OG strain beloved by many in other states. Today, we’re thrilled to bring his brand to cannabis lovers and his fans in California. We’re focused on bringing a curated portfolio of leading brands to California retailers, and Khalifa Kush is a natural addition with its focus on delivering top-quality cannabis. We’re excited to work with the talented Khalifa Kush team to grow its cannabis and commercialize its products,” said David Gacom, west region regional president at Cresco Labs.

Cresco Labs is one of the largest vertically integrated multistate operators in the United States cannabis space. They use a consumer packaged goods approach, and have become the largest wholesaler of branded cannabis products in the U.S. Its brands meet demand for all consumer segments and include some of the most recognized brands, including Cresco, High Supply, Mindy’s Edibles, Good News, Remedi, Wonder Wellness and FloraCal Farms.

Wiz Khalifa is the stage name of Cameron Jibril Thomaz, a former military brat whose career in hip hop spans 17 years and seven albums.

“We’re excited to launch Khalifa Kush in California with Cresco Labs; we’ve been working for years on this project. The KK grown at FloraCal is the best I’ve smoked, and I’m excited for the people of California to enjoy the original KK,” said Khalifa.

An expanded line of KK is anticipated to arrive on shelves at more retailers as the year progresses.
