Identillect Technologies (ID.V) helps dentists put customers first

Identillect Technologies (ID.V) will be providing secure encrypted email services for IT services firm HIX to help dentists protect their clients personal data.

Specifically, HIX works with dentists and dental professionals in 30 states. The choice hinged on the need for enhanced security due to HIPAA legal requirements with HIX going with Identillect’s flagship product, the Delivery Trust encrypted email solution.

“According to HIPAA Journal, over 29 million healthcare records were breached in 2020. To address the problem, government response has been to considerably increase penalties for non-compliance. Simply put – just too many medical offices are using insecure email which not only endangers their patients’ records but risks the entire practice receiving heavy fines. We are proud HIX intends to replace their existing email security provider with Delivery Trust because of the security and simplicity Identillect provides,” said Todd Sexton, Identillect CEO.

This is what Identellect does. They’re a cybersecurity firm providing email encryption through their Delivery Trust service, giving enterprises of all sizes the protection they need for their clients information against cyber attacks. Delivery Trust itself is a multi-platform plug-in, which provides users with the ability to control their emails. The integration is completely compliant with all regulations presently in place.

Delivery Trust was designed with HIPAA regulations in mind. Now staff in a dental office can use the same email clients they’ve always been using, like Gmail, Outlook or O365, while being secure in the knowledge that their communications aren’t at risk of being intercepted.

“HIX works constantly to ensure our clients meet the universal requirements of HIPAA and the HITECH Act. One area which is still largely misunderstood and poorly adopted, yet carries with it significant penalties, is the requirement of encrypted/secure email when transmitting patient health information (PHI). Free email services are not HIPAA compliant – at least not when used stand-alone. Fortunately, Identillect is both HIPAA compliant and integrates seamlessly with those free platforms for convenience while also staying secure,” said Andy Hicks, HIX founder and CEO.
