PlantX Life (VEGA.C) announced today that it has partnered with professional mountain bike athlete, Rémy Métailler, the Company’s latest PlantX Ambassador. Mr. Métailler will assist in promoting the PlantX brand and product offerings as well as help the Company advocate for the benefits of living a plant-based lifestyle.
“PlantX’s culture is driven by a passion for sports, plant-based wellbeing and sustainability and having Rémy’s support further shows how the Company is attracting exciting new partnerships that reflect our values…Rémy is a legend in Squamish and in the world of mountain biking. Collaborating with him will help boost our ties with the Squamish community and our brand exposure among other like-minded athletes and their following base,” said PlantX Founder, Sean Dollinger.
PlantX recently launched its “Venus Picks” personalized web page, featuring products that have been curated by tennis champion Venus Williams herself. With this in mind, PlantX will be launching “Rémy Picks”, an additional personalized web page showcasing Mr. Métailler curated list of PlantX products. Furthermore, Mr. Métailler will help broaden PlantX’s brand exposure in Squamish, BC and the Canadian West Coast in addition to leveraging his personal platforms to promote the Company’s product offerings. Rémy Picks can be found on PlantX’s US and Canadian ecommerce platforms and will features some of Mr. Métailler’s favorite plant-based products including Oatly, Native Forest, Cadia and Jeff’s Garden.
Mr. Métailler moved to Squamish in order to capitalize on his passion for mountain biking and skiing. However, in a video made in collaboration with Camelbak, Mr. Métailler reflects on the environmental impact his professional riding has on the environment. As a professional athlete, Mr. Métailler must travel to different countries and drive to new biking trails every day. With this in mind, he acknowledges that finding alternative to travel can be challenging and suggests that we make smaller changes like switching to reusable cups and cutlery, which he promoted through his 2019 #ditchdisposable initiative with Camelbak.
“I am so excited to partner with PlantX. My diet has been mostly plant-based for several years and I love trying new recipes…Having the support of PlantX is a great way to explore new food and lifestyle options and related products that I can share with my community,” said PlantX Ambassador, Rémy Métailler.
With this partnership, PlantX now has two major athletes advocating for the Company’s brand. Additionally, with Mr. Métailler support, PlantX will be able to expand its business footprint more effectively throughout Canada’s West Coast, one of the most progressive plant-based communities in the country.
PlantX’s share price opened at $0.55 today, up from a previous close of $0.53. The Company’s shares are currently trading at $0.53 as of 11:19AM ET. This indicates that there has not been any significant change following the news.
