1933 Industries (TGIF.C) started selling their Canna Hemp X brand of sports recovery cream today at Zumiez specialty retailer today.
Zumiez deals in apparel, footwear, accessories and hard goods for young men and women interested in branding themselves close to the skate and snowboard industries. Their website sows retail offerings like shoes and hoodies worn by unimpressed looking models, with curious product lines called Cup Noodles and Virginity Rocks, prompting pointless questions about the company’s political leanings than answers. But without a doubt, it increases 1933’s reach to hundreds of stores across the United States and Canada.
“Our focus on supporting the skate, snow, and other action and adventure sports industries is the background of the Canna Hemp X brand and Zumiez’s unequal approach to marketing, branding and merchandising, integrating their brands with their customers’ activities and interest makes it an ideal retailer for our products. We are pleased to be the first to offer CBD products at Zumiez stores as we continue to support athletes, both professional and amateur, and those seeking active lifestyles with their recovery,” said Paul Kobriger, Brand Manager for Canna Hemp X.
Some researchers think that CBD works with the endocannabinoid system (ECS)—specifically endocannabinoid receptors in your brain and immune system—to dull pain, reduce inflammation and provide other untold positive effects.
These receptors are tiny proteins attached to your cells. They receive chemical signals as response to other stimuli and can help the cells respond.
CBD oil may reduce:
- pain
- inflammation
- overall discomfort related to a variety of health conditions
Some people with chronic pain, such as professional athletes, use topical CBD products, and CBD oil in particular.
Professional skateboarder, Torey Pudwill, has been 1933’s partner since 2018, using his brand recognition in the skateboarding community to push Canna Hemp X, and watching him bail in these YouTube clips, it’s easy to figure out why.
That shit hurts just looking at it.
PLUGplay
In other news, 1933 Industries signed an agreement with cannabis vaporizer cartridge manufacturer, PLUGplay, for a twelve month term earlier this month.
The agreement commits 1933’s subsidiary Alternative Medicine Association to manufacture distillate and vape pens under the PLUGplay brand to be distributed and sold throughout Nevada.
“We are extraction artists committed to crafting premium distillate concentrates and we recognized the need in the market for hardware that would provide consumers discreet and easy access to wellness. We believe that vape oils are becoming the optimal means to introduce cannabis to a consumer that is looking for natural alternatives with reliable cannabis oils and batteries for a unique experience. The combination of superior oils and long-lasting batteries makes a winning combination,” said Jon Lee, vice-president of business development at PLUGplay.
The difference between cartridges and products can’t be understated.
Distillate is pure, raw isolated cannabinoids, which means that it’s naturally higher in potency.
Some customers choose their weed like teenagers shop for alcohol, based on alcohol by volume. They want to get high as balls as fast as they can and not slow down and enjoy the journey. And like those crazy kids hitting you up for a few bottles of Old English outside the liquor store, it shows a distinct lack of mature taste because packing a high THC punch doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best product.
Towards that end, PLUGplay’s premium oil and advanced vaporizer technology provides a subtle and convenient experience. “Our mission was to manufacture a best in class vape product that would stand out among the rest,” said Lee.
