3 Sixty Secure (SAFE.C) promotes McArthur to new position

3 Sixty Secure, a subsidiary of 3 Sixty Risk Solutions (SAFE.C), has created an entirely new role and promotes David McArthur to fill it.

McArthur’s new role is called the chief corporate affairs officer, and its responsibilities include government relations, public affairs and stakeholder communications. He’s tasked with the development and execution of 3 Sixty’s communications plan, and the protection and maintenance of the 3 Sixty’s reputation.

His prior role at 3 Sixty was as vice-president of government relations.

“David has proven to be an extremely valuable team member and his promotion to chief corporate affairs officer recognizes the outstanding contribution that he has made since joining the company. His work ethic and unequalled experience in the public and private sector are expected to add tremendous value as we welcome new customers and navigate the highly complex regulatory environment of legalized cannabis in Canada,” said Thomas Gerstenecker, chief executive officer and founder of 3 Sixty.

McArthur’s CV reads like a roadmap to success. His past jobs include serving as a chief of staff to the leader of Canada’s official opposition, and chief of staff to three ministers in the Canadian federal government including Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.  He has also worked with Heritage Canada and Natural Resources Canada.

“I believe that his unique experiences and skills will be invaluable as we expand operations into the U.S. and internationally. David is a professional that recognizes that communications and government relations have become increasingly complex in a global and connected world, and I trust that his extensive public and private experience will contribute to the significant growth expected from 3 Sixty,” said Gerstenecker.

3 Sixty’s made its reputation by protecting its top-tier client base, including a recent deal with Canopy Growth (T.WEED), and other clients like Tilray (TLRY.Q) and Aphria (APH.T). Other past top-tier clients include Highland Park, Ontario’s cannabis store, and British Columbia’s Liquor Distribution Centre.

“I’m very excited to be continuing and furthering my role with 3 Sixty.  Thomas and his team have assembled an excellent group of people with fantastic and diverse skill sets. This, when added to a strong vision, dedication to the highest levels of stakeholder service and coupled with significant opportunities for further growth and expansion, make 3 Sixty a very desirable group to work with,” said McArthur.

Arthur continues to serve on the board with Igor Gimelshtein, a former Ottawa police chief, andGerstenecker, who served in special operations Joint Task Force Two, and as chief of safety security during a United Nations mission to Cambodia from 2007 to 2009.
