Fresh off the heels of its strong stock performance in H2 2016, The Tinley Beverage Company Inc. (TNY.C) has announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Hemplify, has signed a distribution deal with LA Distribution Co. for stores throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County.
This is a big deal for the company, which has developed a fruit-flavored, sugar-free, vegan, hemp stalk extract-based drinkable nutrition supplement.
Los Angeles Distributing Company serves over 2,000 businesses in LA and Orange County, and has made its chops by being an early adopter in beverage areas such as alkaline waters, energy shots, coconut water, kombucha and matcha teas, fresh-pressed juices, and cold brew coffees, which have all recently exploded in consumer interest.
“We believe hemp extract is poised to be a significant consumer category, with consumer awareness driven in part by the passing of Proposition 64 in California and in part by the continued growth of the traditional hemp seed category,” said Richard Medina, co-founder of LA Distribution, said in a Tinley press release Monday.
“We’re delighted by the enthusiasm Richard and his team have shown for this new category,” said Jeff Maser, CEO of Tinley in the same release.
Tinley is selling product online and in five US states, and says it has developed a line of cannabis infused beverages that it is preparing to launch in areas such products are permitted.
