Patriot One Technologies (PAT.V) signs Homeland Security boss Tom Ridge to advise

Pop quiz: You’re a young company with a technology that will allow authorities to ‘sniif’ bombs and guns remotely as people pass through high traffic areas. Obviously, you’d like law enforcement to buy the hell out of your product.

But who can you sign up to help that process along? Short of a Trump child, I mean.

How about former US Homeland Security boss, Tom Ridge? You remember him: He established the ‘threat levels’ system, and was part of the Bush/Cheney inner circle when they were ruling the planet with a ham fist.

But don’t assume he was a rank political appointee; Ridge was a 12-year servant in the US House of Reps, and also served as Governor of the great state of Pennsylvania. He’s also on the boards of Home Depot and Hershey, and advises Deloitte & Touche.

Do YOU advise Deloitte & Touche? No, didn’t think so.

Ridge joins the Patriot One Technologies (PAT.V) as an advisory board member in what is a distinct win for the company. When they need to talk to law enforcement, you can guarantee law enforcement officials will show up to high-five Tom Ridge. When they want to talk to military, likewise. And the Department of Homeland Security? Well, I’m quite sure Ridge’s portrait still hangs on the lobby wall at DHS HQ.

Patriot One stock has gone on a rip since it landed on the exchange, because not only does the tech have great promise, but the political climate in the US right now is reaching boiling point. The recent election saw Donald Trump come to power with a legion of Generals filling roles in his https://e4njohordzs.exactdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/tnw8sVO3j-2.pngistration; when you’re bringing on a guy with the nickname “Mad Dog”, it’s safe to say you’ve gone for brute force over diplomacy.

So will PAT.V’s tech be in demand in that environment?

The threat of active political violence in the world today is very real. According to the Gun Violence Archive, at the time of writing, there were 271 reported incidents of gun violence in the United States in the last 72 hours, with a total of 103 people killed and 137 injured.

That’s just in the last three days!

Despite popular arguments by gun rights activists, putting a handheld Howitzer in the hands of every Tom, Dick and Mary clearly isn’t the answer to solving violence and, to date, has only led to more gun-related incidents. However, the prospect of a country forcibly disarming its citizens is chilling and unlikely.

So, whatever your viewpoint, in the interests of individual freedom, the right to bear arms must be upheld. But how to properly police such a society?

Patriot One Technologies (PAT.V) has stepped forward to offer a unique option which doesn’t entail the public surrendering its weaponry. The company’s proprietary scanning technology instantly identifies concealed weapons, even on moving targets. This allows law enforcement to step in and disarm an individual before they start.

Company President Dinesh Kandanchatha, explains the technology as a cognitive microwave radar:

“It is a technology that allows you to detect concealed weapons without line of sight. So, what we’re able to do is, we’re able to install one of our devices in a wall, in a floor, in a ceiling, and send a microwave pulse, 1,000 pulses a second, and check the resonant frequency that comes back. And all weapons, any metallic device, resonates; it rings. So, what we are able to do is, we have a signature database; that database has 43 weapons in it right now. We can detect guns, we can detect knives, we can detect vests and we can detect explosives like grenades.”

The technology itself will help disrupt law enforcement methodologies in terms of identifying and neutralizing dangerous lone actors in public venues before they have a chance to become violent.

Patriot One CEO, Martin Cronin, summed up the Ridge appointment thus:

“We are tremendously pleased to announce this partnership. Working with a company with the stature and reach of Ridge Global could greatly accelerate the exposure of our groundbreaking technology to key potential users. Governor Ridge has an unparalleled grasp of the challenges facing those charged with the safety of the American public and we are proud of the confidence he has shown in our technology.”

A lot of younger investors have ethical problems with investing in military and aerospace industries, but an investment in Patriot One is basically an investment in disarmament. That makes it not only topical, given the political climate, but ethical.
