Canopy Growth (WEED.T) launches CBD beverage Quatreau and takes aim at infused beverage space


Canopy Growth (WEED.T) released Quatreau, their new CBD-infused sparkling water beverage line, earlier this week, according to a press release.

These sparkling waters are Canopy’s first CBD-infused drinks, but the company has both CBD-only and balanced (CBD and THC) offerings in Canada. These were launched shortly after showing sales growth from the company’s line of THC-infused rinks, which were released earlier this year, and now Canopy is aiming to win market share in the CBD beverage space.

“We are proud to debut our first CBD-infused beverage brand in Canada, where we already lead the cannabis-infused beverage category, at a price point that delivers both quality and value to consumers. We created Quatreau as an alternative to sugary, caffeinated beverages or even alcohol. With both CBD-only and balanced (CBD plus THC) offerings in four natural flavours, Quatreau meets the needs of discerning cannabis consumers,” said David Klein, chief executive officer of Canopy Growth.

They’re developing on the successful launch and strong initial sales of their THC-infused cannabis beverage brands Tweed, Houseplant and Deep Space, and are hoping to lead the cannabis space with the launch of Quatreau.

Quatreau’s naturally flavoured Canadian product line includes four offerings named:

  • Quatreau cucumber and mint (contains 20 milligrams of CBD and less than 1 mg of THC)
  • Quatreau passion fruit and guava (contains 20 mg of CBD and less than 1 mg of THC)
  • Quatreau ginger and lime (contains two mg of CBD and two mg of THC)

Canopy intends to continue building their brands driven by consumer feedback, and brands using industry leading scientific formulation.
