Trulieve Cannabis (TRUL.C) finds human connection in August for their TruVet program

Trulieve Cannabis (TRUL.C) is working with Florida-based Connective Human on their TruVet program throughout the month of August, according to a press release.

The TruVet Program was launched earlier this year with the stated purpose of educating veterans on the values, accessibility, benefits and users of medicinal cannabis, especially as it pertains to PTSD and other ailments. The program is sponsored by veteran non-profits nationwide, which offer support financially, but also through educational seminars, product education and by providing a bridge to local doctors.

“A big part of our story is to create and encourage change in our communities, to connect with others and give businesses and nonprofits in our areas the opportunity to grow together. When veterans come back, they often struggle with reintegration; as a veteran myself, I understand how important it is to work with organizations that not only care about the community, but care about and understand the specific needs of veterans. Trulieve matches our mission of connecting with communities and working to encourage diversity and inclusion by offering information and resources. We’re honored to partner with them this month and look forward to further connecting with Florida’s veteran community,” said Beau Blounin, Connective Human president and founder.

The partnership with Connective Human is intended to connect corporations and nonprofits who encourage positive change in their communities. The organization hosts team building and wellness programs, which allow corporations to collaborate on community initiatives to solve real social needs while maintaining and instill a connective and inclusive culture.

At present, vets enjoy an in-store discount on Trulieve’s products, and the company maintains partnerships with local veteran organizations throughout the state, while encouraging patients to inquire about resources at their local dispensary, or on their TruVets webpage.

“More than ever, we’re focused on connecting with the communities we call home and sharing the resources available to people across the state. Trulieve’s core values include embracing diversity, supporting social equity, and encouraging inclusivity, and aligning with partners like Connective Human supports these values we aim to embody daily,” said Kim Rivers, CEO of Trulieve.

Trulieve also counts a TruVet Facebook Group as part of their web presence. Its primary function is as a resource and support group for veterans, dependents or caregivers, and helps those looking for further education about cannabis from the community.
